It was another great week at Governor Winslow School! In honor of National Custodians’ Day on October 2, our students and staff celebrated our custodial staff this week. Thank you to Mr. Ploeger, Mr. Reynolds, Mr. Callahan, and Mr. Bacon. We are extremely grateful to all of our wonderful custodians, but it is with very heavy hearts that our school community congratulates Mr. Callahan who is retiring next week after thirty-four years of service to Marshfield Public Schools. GWS was blessed to have Mr. Callahan for eighteen of those years, and he will be missed. On behalf of our school community, thank you, Mr. Callahan. We love you and wish you the very best in your retirement!

Parent's Night Out

New to GWS? Want to meet other families? Catch up with friends with NO interruptions!!

Our first ever Parents Night at IGolf, hosted by the GWS PTO. OCTOBER 15th!! More that just golf--there’s skeeball, shuffleboard, fooseball, cornhole, air hockey, and so much more We can't wait to meet you all there! The cost is $20 for single ticket or $30 per couple. JOG-A-THON

JOG-A-THON will be held October 18th weather permitting with a rain date of October 20th! Thank you to all who added a name for the shirts as well as our generous sponsors! If you would like to attend please know an up to date CORI in needed.

School Store

School store is held Mondays following lunch for grades 1-5. If you would like your child to attend, feel free to send in money with them. Items range in price from $0.20 to $5.00. School store can only run with volunteers to please click HERE to sign up! We cannot do it without you! An up to date CORI is needed.

GWS will continue to use the web based application called PickUp Patrol (PUP) to help us better manage our dismissal process. PUP allows parents to electronically make daily dismissal changes from a computer or smart phone. If you need a registration link, please email cmullen@mpsd.org.

Please join the Marshfield SEPAC and the Federation for Children with Special Needs for a free virtual workshop for parents and professionals. This presentation will delve into the Individual Education Program (IEP) document, its development, the breakdown of each section, and an understanding of how the document will support a student. See attached flyer for more information.

If you cannot attend this presentation, please visit the Federation website at https://fcsn.org/pti/events-calendar/ to view their workshop schedule. Parents/ guardians are welcome to attend any workshop throughout the school year.

The Marshfield Road Runners Youth Track Club, Marshfield Boys and Girls Club, Marshfield Districtwide PTO and Furnace Brook Middle School XC/Track & Field are excited to announce the that the 5th Annual Marshfield Elementary School Invitational will take place Wednesday 10/26/2022 at the Marshfield Boys and Girls Club (37 Proprietor's Drive, Marshfield) with check-in beginning at 3:00 PM. Races begin at 3:30. A fun, free event for all Marshfield Elementary students!
