The Mather Memo
End of School 2022 Edition
Have a Great Summer!
This school year, with its transition from remote to in-person learning, was unlike any other. Our goal for the year was for everyone to feel like they belonged at Mather. We hope that your student experienced that, and that it continues to grow next school year.
We wish you a restful, safe, and fun summer, and look forward to welcoming you and your student back to school: don't forget, school starts August 22nd!

Ways for Your Student to Stay Engaged This Summer!
1.) Practice skills in math, grammar, science, history, AP, and SAT prep for free at https://www.khanacademy.org/ (this is especially recommended for rising juniors, or rising seniors who want to re-take the SAT in the fall!)
2.) Reading! Encourage your student to read: any type of reading has proven benefits for the brain. The Chicago Public Libraries have great resources.
3.) Start compiling a college list & taking college tours: it is never too early to research post-secondary options. Most colleges offer free tours, and many have virtual tours available. This is a great way to expose your student to their options.
4.) Follow us on Social Media to stay connected with Mather news!
