1st Grade Busy Bee News

The Read Across America Action Team is excited to announce our Favorite Book Character Parade! This will be happening this FRIDAY the morning of February 28th, 2020. Choose your favorite book character to dress up as and don't forget your book!!!

Parents/Guardians of Teasley K-2nd Graders,

We are excited to announce our first annual Breakfast with Buddies! Bring your coffee and enjoy a casual morning eating donuts with your child. This event will take place the morning of Friday, March 20th from 7:20-7:50 in your student’s classroom. Maximum of 2 grownups per student.

We're wild about specials! All Kindergarten and 1st Grade students are invited to perform on March 5th at 7:00 PM for Specials Night. Your child will be learning songs in Music class and in Spanish class to share with you. If your child is interested in taking part in the performance, please click the link below and fill out the survey. All rehearsals take place during Music and Spanish class, so your child won't have any after school or morning rehearsals. Simply sign up, and show up to perform on March 5th!

The deadline to sign up is February 28th. A confirmation email will be sent out with more details about the night after the deadline. Students who perform will wear a solid green shirt with khakis.

Our Teasley Leaders need your help! They will be assembling care packages to distribute to those in need as a community service project. They are asking for donations of items to include in these care packages.

Please consider donating one or a few of the items listed below: Trash Bags Combs Men's Socks Women's Socks Packs of Peanut Butter Crackers Packs of Cheese Crackers Chapstick Nail Clippers Hand Wipes Toothpaste Individually Packaged Toothbrushes Individual Tissue Packs Bandaids

The Purpose of Teasley Elementary School is to educate the whole child in a safe and caring environment.

Please encourage your children to wash their hands thoroughly (tops of hands and in between fingers) or utilize hand sanitizer after sneezing or using Kleenex. We have had a few students who have had stomach “bugs”, colds, fevers, and THE FLU.

Washing hands is one of the most efficient and easiest ways to stay healthy!!

• Please send a note in your child's folder ANY time there is a change in transportation. Even if you have told me in person, I need to have a handwritten note to give to the office.

• No changes of transportation can be accepted over email. Changes during the school day must be made in writing to the office and received by 1:30 each day.

• Any kids staying after school for clubs must have a written transportation change for that day. Please send a note EACH DAY that they are staying for ASP enrichment. This cuts down on confusion if there is ever a substitute teacher in the class.
