Let's Recognize!
Let’s shower our LMS teachers/staff in love by nominating them for LCS recognition!
Lynchburg City Schools is highlighting our teachers and staff and would like input from families. Please take a few minutes to tell us about a teacher or staff member who is positively impacting our school division. This could be a great teacher, your wonderful bus driver, or that staff member who is always willing to help in some way. Please complete the form to tell us all about the person you have chosen. You may complete the form more than once to acknowledge multiple employees.
Upcoming PTO meeting – all are welcome!
We have new opportunities for parents and family members who want to be involved in the PTO next year! To hear updates from our board members, teachers, and our principal–or to provide feedback or ask questions, please join our upcoming LMS PTO meeting on Thursday, February 17 at 6:00 pm via Google Meet using this link: https://meet.google.com/spt-gsvk-sek

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, LCS is working hard to keep our doors open to provide in-person instruction to our students. We need families to assist us in ensuring that we keep our doors open for as many days possible during these unprecedented times by keeping your sick student home. Even mild symptoms like sore throat, cough, or a headache can be signs of a COVID-19 infection that can spread to teachers or other students. During the pandemic, and after it's over, students should stay home when they have symptoms like a fever over 100.4°F, diarrhea, vomiting or trouble breathing.
When in doubt, check with your school nurse. It’s also important to report that your child is sick, so the school staff can check to see if others might have been exposed to your child. This will allow LCS to follow its mitigation plan and help keep our students, faculty/staff, and families safe. It is imperative that the parent/guardian have updated contact information in Infinite Campus should the school needs to contact you. We appreciate all of your support!
