School Wide Information
Middle School Progress Grades and High School Semester Grades- Parent portal is now open for parents and students to view grades. Parents will log on to their portal account at https://my.iusd.org.
Mark Your Calendar- There is an IVA in-person Advisement scheduled for Monday, February 5th from 8:30-11:00 am. It will be held at the IUSD Learning Center at Creekside Education Center (3387 Barranca Parkway). Middle School students should report to Learning Center Rm 2; High School students should report to Learning Center Rm 6.

IUSD Annual Survey- the survey is open through Friday, February 2, 2024. please take a moment to complete this important survey. Your responses provide feedback about our school’s climate and where resources that benefit IVA and CHS are focused through the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) process. The Annual Survey tells us what is important to our families, students and staff. Your feedback is essential in helping identify areas where we are excelling and areas for improvement so that we continually improve how we serve our students and families. Survey topics include parent/guardian engagement, the teaching and learning environment, bullying, homework, student stress levels, school climate, and your child’s overall educational experience, among other topics. The survey is available in multiple languages. Responses are anonymous and it only takes a few minutes to participate. To take the annual survey , click here.

IUSD Family Counseling Center- Under the Department of Mental Health & Wellness, the IUSD Family Counseling Center offers a multidisciplinary approach to mental health and support and wellness for children, adolescents, and their families. Click HERE for more information.
High School Updates
Sophomore Family Morning- Sophomore Families join the IVA counselors on Monday, Jan. 29th at 8am for information about your individual sophomore conference. They will cover graduation requirements, A-G's and planning for life after high school. The zoom link will be sent via email.
Industry Tour- Interested in learning about film industry? CEC will be touring Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts on February 23rd. If you are interested in attending this event please email laurenyadon@iusd.org by Feb. 9th.
Mental Health Series- IUSD, CHOC, and the Orange County Department of Education invite you to our free mental health trainings for IUSD families. The theme for January is Teen Substance Use
For many teens, it’s hard to stop using alcohol or drugs even when things get dangerous. Asking for help can be even harder. Learn the warning signs, skills, and resources needed to support teens dealing with substance issues. We have sessions for staff, students, and caregivers. Please join as many as you would like! IUCPTA Scholarship- IUCPTA $500 High School Scholarship Application -Now Open! Apply by April 19th, 2024 (Must be a current student PTSA member)

State Seal of Biliteracy- The California Seal of Biliteracy recognizes graduating high school seniors who have demonstrated a high level of biliteracy in English and one or more languages other than English. Click HERE for more information.
