Announcements
Math Tutoring
Having trouble with math? Need a place to make up missing work? Math help will be available every Thursday from 3-4pm in room 10 with Mr. Holwegner. All grade levels are welcome!
Student Laptops
Student laptops will have updates automatically downloaded on them once a month. As a part of the update process, students will need to restart their laptop, sometimes with multiple restarts. These restarts can last 20-30 minutes so it’s important to restart the device while it is charging and during a time where you will not be using the computer. This is also a good reminder to bring a fully charged laptop to school during the day.
NJHS
NJHS Members: Mark your calendars! We have a meeting next week on Thursday, November 2nd. It will be from 3-4pm in the Media Center. Please see one of the NJHS sponsors if you have questions.
Magic Club
Hello, aspiring magicians or anyone interested in magic! Lesher has a club just for you! Come here to teach and learn magic tricks, and also socialize with new people. Club meetings are in Ms. Richey’s room, 300A, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. every other Monday starting October 16th. You can find flyers in the cafeteria, and around the school with additional information on the Magnificent Magic Club!
Drama Club
Drama Club will meet in room 15, Mr. Holwegner’s room, from 3-4 on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. Come to the next meeting on November 1st at 3:00. Hope to see you there!
D&D
Hello Adventures, are you ready to roll dice and roleplay? Starting Thursday, the 19th, we will start our Dungeons and Dragons adventure in room 18, Mr. T’s room. We will be meeting at 2:55 to 3:55 after school. You will not need dice for the first meeting, but they are recommended for later meetings. Hope to see you there!
Design Club
Attention 6th, 7th, and 8th graders! You're invited to be part of the Design Club. Together, we'll craft a detailed scale model of Lesher in Minecraft, aimed at helping incoming 6th graders acclimate to our school building. Meetings are scheduled every Monday from 3 pm to 4 pm, starting October 30th and continuing through the end of the 3rd quarter. Join us in lab #19. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Becky Knips, our Ed Tech Coordinator, at rknips@psdschools.org. Thank you!
Wrestling
Open mats will begin November 7th in the small gym from 3:15pm-5:15pm. If you are planning to wrestle during open mats you need to come get a waiver and a flyer from the front office ASAP. For more information you can ask Coach Moeller or the front office.
Entrepreneurship Volunteers
We are looking for parent/guardian volunteers who are interested in giving feedback on student business plans. Please reach out to Amanda Sutton at asutton@psdschools.org if you are interested. We are also looking for small business owners who would be interested in being a guest speaker to our entrepreneurship classes.
Immunizations!
All students need to be compliant with their immunizations. We have reached out to individual families that need an updated immunization record or opt-out. Starting November 1st, students who are non-compliant with their immunizations cannot be at school.
To be compliant, we must have one of the following:
1. an updated shot record showing all required immunizations
2. an MD-signed Medical Exemption certificate (these are good forever, no expiration)
3. an MD-signed Non-Medical Exemption certificate (for personal or religious beliefs, these are good for the school year and expire at the end of summer programs, must be renewed for each new school year)
4. an updated Non-Medical Exemption certificate received after completing the online immunization education module on the Colorado Dept of Public Health and Environment's Immunization page (for personal or religious beliefs, these are good for the school year and expire at the end of summer programs, must be renewed for each new school year)

5. an "In Process Plan," letting us know of a scheduled MD appointment to get the needed shots, if the student needs multiple shots or a series of shots (i.e. MMR is a two shot series) this "In Process Plan" may require months to catch up
