World No. 70 Yang Ha-eun defeats No. 21 Joo Chun-hee to win title Defeated 16th-ranked Im Jong-hoon and 54th-ranked Ahn Jae-hyun in men's singles
In the absence of top-ranked Jang Woo-jin (Mirae Asset Securities) and Shin Yubin (Korean Air), Lim Jong-hoon (Korea Exchange) and Yang Ha-eun (POSCO International) won the men's and women's singles titles at the Unemployed Table Tennis Championships 2023.
World No. 70 Yang Ha-eun defeated world No. 21 Joo Cheon-hee 3-2 (7-11 12-10 4-11 11-8 11-7) in the women's singles final at Gimcheon Indoor Gymnasium on Tuesday.
After dropping the first and third games, Yang fought back to win the match.
World No. 9 Shin Yubin did not compete in the women's singles.
In the men's singles final the previous day, world No. 16 Lim Jong-hoon defeated 54th-ranked Ahn Jae-hyun (Korea Exchange) 3-1 to win the title. Korea's top ranked player, World No. 8 Jang Woo-jin, did not compete in the men's singles event.
