Weekly Pond News
Hello Otter families,
We hope you had a great weekend! It was nice to see so many families on campus the past two weeks reading in the courtyard with students. Our bookfair will end on Friday, October 20th, we hope your child has had the opportunity to stop by and visit the media center over the past two weeks. Thank you for all of your support and continued partnership in your child/children's education!

Dairy Queen Night
Please come join us on Wednesday, October 18th for Dairy Queen Night. Each month we will hold grade level Dairy Queen Nights. The earnings on specific nights will go towards a specific grade/team. School Lunch Options
We are noticing there are several students purchasing ice-cream, cookies, chips and other extra items for lunch. Many of our students are not eating the nutritional lunches that are provided by our district. Parents are responsible for looking into student lunch accounts, provide funds and view the purchases their child makes. We want to ensure your child is having enough time to eat a nutritional meal and not the variety of snacks they have purchased.
Race to Read Challenge
We have a Reading Across The County Everyday Challenge (R.A.C.E)
Pasco County Schools are challenged to see which school reads the most each month. Please sign sign your child up for the challenge! Please click on the URL code to register your child.

PTA Reflections 23-24 Information
The National PTA’s Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boosts student confidence and success in the arts and in life.
Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student selected theme. This 50+ year-old program helps them explore their own thoughts, feelings, and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence, and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.
The theme for the 2023-2024 program year is “I Am Hopeful Because…” Students should submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts.
Please see the attachment below for additional information.
