Principal's Message

Sunny Heights Families,

The PTA was in full force this week at Sunny Heights Elementary. Tuesday night we hosted the first PTA meeting of the 2019-2020 school year. The group of parents, teachers, and staff went through a full agenda and approved many events for our students and families this year. Thursday night was our first PTA Family event which was our Family Game Night. Students, families, and staff had a great time playing games and spending time together enjoying our school...what fun! Next Thursday is our first PTA Skating Party at the Roller Cave. We hope to see many of ours students and families there at 6:00 pm.

ENJOY A FAMILY FUN-FILLED AFTERNOON

Join us at Southeastway Park as we celebrate all things "buggy". Swarms of people can visit several stations including a walk-thru butterfly tent, a cricket cafe, critter crafts, monarch tagging, cricket spitting and lots more.

Visit 10 or more stations to receive your Honorary Degree of Biology. Wear your bug-themed clothes/costumes for even more fun!

There will also be food trucks, concessions, tee shirts and face painting available for purchase

LABOR DAY - NO SCHOOL

On Monday, September 2, 2019, there will be no school for students and staff since it is Labor Day. Have a nice three day weekend and we will see you on the 3rd!

Exclusion Date

The exclusion day for immunizations is September 16th. A child who does not have up to date, completed immunizations on file in the nurses office will not be able to attend school until immunizations are current. Any questions please let Ms Roberta know.
