Medications & Doctors Orders
Getting Medicine to School
All medication should be transported to the school by an adult and taken to the school clinic. Do not allow your child to carry his or her medication.
Your child should not carry his or her medication during school hours unless you, the doctor, and the school believes it is necessary for immediate access to emergency medication. Younger children are generally not mature enough to self-carry their own medications, but the school will make sure there is immediate access to emergency medications.
All prescription and nonprescription medication given in school settings require written authorization - Please see Nurse Rochelle for more details.
All medication must be brought to school in the original labeled container prepared by the pharmacy, doctor, or pharmaceutical company (i.e., no envelopes, foil, or baggies). The label should include the following:
Child's name
Name of medication
Dosage of medication to be given
Frequency of administration
Route of administration
Name of physician ordering medication
Date of prescription
Expiration date
It is important to have Orders and Medications in place at school to start the year.
If you have any questions, please contact Nurse Rochelle.
Construction and Crossing guards
We will NOT have student crossing guards available during construction.
Please be certain to escort your student to school.

New Visitor Procedures:
**All VISITORS MUST BRING A PHOTO ID**
Raptor replaces manual, paper-based logs, allows our schools to produce customized visitor badges with photos, and electronically checks visitors against known sex offender registries and school-based databases.
Overview of Visitor Procedures
1. All visitors to a district facility are expected to check in and out at the office.
2. When the visitor arrives, they will be greeted and asked for a photo ID approved by the District. Visitors without such an ID will be given instructions for how to check in.
3. The Raptor operator will scan the visitor’s photo ID, or if necessary, manually enter the name and date of birth, and issue a badge with the visitor’s picture and name, the date and time, and the destination. Should the system indicate an “alert” on an individual, the Raptor operator will follow the established alert protocol. Photo IDs will be returned to the visitor after scanning.
4. The visitor will wear the temporary Raptor visitor badge throughout the duration of his/her visit. Persons not displaying appropriate identification will be escorted to the office/front desk by any staff member who notices such a case.
5. At the conclusion of the visit, the visitor will return to the office/front desk to check out. The visitor will be instructed to return the visitor badge for disposal. If a visitor forgets to check out, the visitor will be checked out automatically and reminded of the check-out procedure the next time he/she checks in.
6. Subsequent visits to a building will require the Raptor operator to check in the visitor and print a new badge.
What are Acceptable Forms of Identification?
Acceptable forms of identification, which must contain the visitor’s name, birth date, and a photograph, include:
U.S. or foreign driver’s licenses;
U.S. or foreign government IDs;
Military IDs; RMV/DMV issued IDs;
U.S. or foreign passports;
Permanent Resident Cards (Green Cards); and/or
Re-entry Permits

Drop Off and Pick Up Policies and Procedures
The following drop-off and pick-up procedures have been established in order to assure the safety of our students. Please be courteous to other drivers and vigilant in watching out for the safety of our students. In past school years, there has been an increase of traffic flowing through pedestrian walk zones. Several students and staff members were nearly hit by drivers operating automobiles attempting to drop passengers off in unauthorized areas. In order to lessen the congestion and ensure that all students can arrive and depart safely we have implemented a drop off and pick up route for our students and families to follow throughout the school year.
Preschool Students and Student with Special Needs may be dropped off in the main lot.
All others must follow the above drop off/pick up procedure and may not utilize the main parking lot.
Please read the attached information on Drop-Off - Pick-Up Procedures:
