1. Complete Readiness Tests in USA Test prep for Math and Reading
2. Attend All Orientation Sessions and Watch the Recordings of Any Missed Sessions
3. Complete Your "All About Me" Slide and Send It to Your Homeroom Teacher
4. Complete the Online Learning K-8 Course in the OLS. There are 4 lessons total.
5. Have your LC mark your attendance for each day
Course specific information For week of November 5th
3rd Grade Reading with Mrs. Deegan-Smith
Hello 3rd Graders! I'm so excited to meet you next week. We will have ELA Orientation on Monday, November 5 at 12:30. Please look at each ELA course below to help you prepare for the week of November 5-9. I will be going over materials for each course in orientation.
Literature: This week you should have completed OLS lessons Unit 1 Lessons 1 & Unit 7 Lessons 7 and 8. Next week, you will complete OLS Unit 7 Lessons 9-11 and Unit 8 Lessons 1-2.
Writing: You will complete OLS Unit 1 Lesson 1 and then begin working in Unit 7.
Vocabulary: No materials are required. All lessons are completed in the OLS.
Spelling: No materials are required. I will provide some spelling practice activities during Orientation.
Reading Class Connect: ELA Course Orientation
3rd Grade Math with Mrs. Moore
Welcome to third grade math! Next week we will be covering classroom expectations, as well as learning to use our Blackboard tools in the orientation Class Connect session on Tuesday, November 6th at 11:00 am. Please make sure you bring a pencil, a journal (can be a composition book or a spiral), and a working headset with a microphone to class. I can’t wait to meet each of you!

3rd Grade Science with Mrs. Cummings
Welcome to 3rd grade science! I am very excited to see you on Monday, November 5! Please come to class with a Science notebook and a pencil as we review the Scientific Method and some important items.

3rd Grade Social Studies with Mrs. Lipscomb
Welcome to 3rd-grade social studies! This week you will see the first social studies lessons appear on your plan. You will be working on unit 3 - Communities Are Everywhere:
- lesson 5 People and Their Surroundings
- lesson 6 Describing Locations.

3rd Grade Music with Mrs. Bass
Every week you will check the grade level newsletter to see which Music Studio lessons to complete. Just open Unit 1, Lesson 1 in the OLS and click the link to take you to Music Studio! (I marked everything else as skipped in the OLS because there isn't any content in those lessons. You can just ignore the skipped ones.)

3rd Grade Health/PE/Art with Ms. Buchanan
Welcome to 3rd grade!!! I am very excited to begin our classes. We have a fun year ahead of us full of activities, projects and much, much more. This week you will begin your lessons in the OLS. We will practice using the BBC tools and navigate through the OLS.
