Hello Knights!

Happy Labor Day!

Whew! It is hot out there! We hope you are staying cool and well in this crazy weather. We are entering week five and hoping you are finding success in your distance learning activities. Please reach out if we can help support you in any way.

This week we have a number of events for you to be aware of. Please see below for information about yearbook pickup (for those of you who purchased a yearbook in the spring and have not yet collected it), our first English Learner parent meeting, new meal service information, and more.

As always, we thank you for your partnership and look forward to seeing our students online tomorrow at 8am.

Parents and Guardians,

Please remember that our current distance learning model carefully accounts for grades and attendance. Students SHOULD BE in a productive learning space from 8am until 2:30pm. Please recall that students coming late to class or failing to participate in afternoon sessions will be documented in our Aeries attendance records.

Additionally, all work assigned during distance learning is required. Please monitor your children to ensure they are completing all work requested by their teacher. If you have questions about your child's performance, please reach out. Missing work is documented on first trimester report cards and has the potential to significantly impact performance and grades.

We thank you for your support and cooperation!

The USDA announced the extension of summer meal waivers through Dec. 31st. Students are able to receive breakfast and lunch at no cost. Meals can be picked up at several curbside meal distribution locations by a parent/guardian. Parents/guardians have the option to pick up for all students at one location. Your student does NOT have to be present.

MEAL SERVING TIMES: 11:30 - 1:10 pm

If you purchased a yearbook in the spring but were not able to pick it up, please drive through our parking lot on Thursday, September 10 between 3:00 and 3:30pm.

**Please note: Prepaid orders only; NO NEW yearbook sales will be offered.

Each year our wonderfully supportive Castle Rock Community Club sponsors an Education Support Campaign that brings in much needed dollars for supplemental support, technology purchases, and more. Students will be treated to a variety of prizes and fun activities for participation, and our DONOR VEHICLE DECALS are back! Please watch for more information coming soon! Thank you!
