DCPS is updating the budget model that determines how funding is allocated to schools.
You can find a recording of a recent community engagement session on DCPS' YouTube page here. You are also welcome to join upcoming Ross LSAT meetings which are open to our entire school community
MySchoolDC Lottery
The lottery is for all PK spots in DCPS and most charters as well as for families seeking to attend a school outside of their assigned neighborhood school. Current Ross students DO NOT need to apply to the lottery to remain at Ross for the 22.23 school year. All current Grade 5 students feed into Franics-Stevens MS and Cardozo EC in addition to your assigned MS based on your home address. Families who want a different MS match must apply to the MySchoolDC lottery.

School Year 22.23 Enrollment
The FY23 budget cycle, which includes enrollment projections, is now in full swing. If your plans do not include returning to Ross next year for K-5, please email Principal Searl.
If you are applying out to private school, please note that recommendations are sent directly to the receiving institution and not provided to parents. All records requests can be sent to Mr. Salazar. farley.salazar@k12.dc.gov
Attendance Reminders & Travel Guidance
Please find the DCPS attendance policy attached. Please note that even though PK4 is not a compulsory attendance grade in DC, the DCPS attendance policy still applies. Families who have accepted a PK4 seat should be committed to attend school regularly per DCPS policy.
Include Mr. Salazar on any communications regarding absence/tardy notices.
Family travel is not excused per DCPS policy.
The Mayor's travel guidance does not require quarantine or testing after travel out of DMV, but it is recommended.
