Hello, Woodside Families,
With the weather change and the longer days ahead, I want to remind families of the following as it relates to sleep. According to the CDC, students should be getting the following number of hours of sleep each night...
PRESCHOOL
3-5YEARS 10-13 HOURS PER 24 HOURS (INCLUDING NAPS)
SCHOOL AGE
6-12YEARS 9-12 HOURS PER 24 HOURS
TEEN
13-18 YEARS 8-10 HOURS PER 24 HOURS
Please remember, for students to have a good sleep, it is important that they are off technology at least an hour before going to bed and, if possible, should be reading for at least 20 minutes.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's academic or social progress, please contact me or your child's teacher at your earliest convenience.
