Congratulations to Authentic Science Research student Gabi Cubelo who was selected for the 2020-2021 Governor’s STEM Scholars program which comprises the top 80 STEM students in NJ.

Gabi was also selected by the Greater NYC Chapter of Society for Neuroscience at Columbia University for their “BriNY Bunch Virtual Journal Club”, Gabi presented “Hippocampal projections to the anterior olfactory nucleus differentially convey spatiotemporal information during episodic odour memory” Her skill level and understanding of of the the article was so high that Alexandra Cohen, PhD., the director of the journal program reached out to Gabi by email to praise her work. Gabi had not had any contact with her previously during the program and was working with a different mentor.

Congratulations to Maria Ressa (Class of 1982), who was recently nominated for a 2021 Nobel Peace Prize for her investigative journalism work in the Phillipines. Maria has previously been named the 2018 Person of the Year by Time Magazine.

Congratulations to Marissa Paolella (Class of 2016), who was featured in an ad for Mercari Marketplace during last night's Super Bowl broadcast.

Dear Parents/ Guardians:

The "School Health Program" designed to improve, protect, and promote the health of all students has been delayed due to COVID-19 restrictions. As a result of COVID-19, the school nurses will not be providing students with health screenings this year. Please contact your child's school nurse, if there is a specific concern regarding your child's health.

Furthermore, the Academy of Pediatrics recommends all children to have a yearly wellness visit. If your child has received his/her annual physical from a pediatrician, please forward a copy of the physical to the school nurse.
