Our Principals for the day were Emily D and Liam M, who helped last week with various duties around campus, including classroom visits, read alouds, lunch duty and recess supervision.

For those who tried out, but did not make a team, your efforts are admired and appreciated. It takes a lot of courage to try-out and we are so impressed by each of you for doing so. Bee proud of yourselves!

Between 8-9 am and 2-4 pm, parking and/or dropping off is not permitted at the front of the school, unless your student attends extended day. For safety reasons, this area needs to be cleared at those times as it is our school bus lane. Families, please use the district office lot for morning drop-off and afternoon pick up. If you prefer to walk your student to and from class, please use the parent parking lot at the back of the school. The few parking spots at the front of the school are reserved for staff and those with limited mobility. Thank you for your assistance in keeping our school safe and orderly.

Tryouts are after school on Tuesday, 3/14 (K-2) and Wednesday, 3/16 (3-5) (3:00 to 4:15 pm) in the MP room. If you must come on a different day (i.e. a first grader on Thursday) because of a conflict, that is fine. Students will be notified by Friday, March 17th if they made it!! Dress Rehearsal is Wednesday, March 23rd and it is mandatory for participants!!!

Hello Dragons!

Well, we were off to a good start with our California Young Reader Medal. We have three books read and will introduce the fourth book next week due to the snow days. Stay tuned for what great story and clue gets introduced. This week we celebrated Dr Seuss’ birthday (along with my daughters) on March 2’nd. Dressing up like your favorite book character is always fun, so many to choose from! Our AR prizes for February will be going out in about a week. Save the date, our Spring Literati book fair will be here in May! Hope you all took time to enjoy a good story. Remember, good things happen when you read!
