Hello-
The last two weeks have been filled with exams, snow days and the start of a new semester. The district has upgraded our web page and you can keep up to date if you download the Clio Area Schools App. Once you have downloaded the app, you can choose the schools that you want to receive updates. This is a great way to stay connected!
When dropping off students in the front loop, please make sure that you are not passing on the left as somes students are exiting cars on the drivers side.
Enjoy this crazy Michigan weather.
Sincerely,
Michelle Pyrett
Counselors Corner
Attention 8th grade parents and guardians - High school counselors will be coming to the middle school on January 31st to walk students through requesting their 9th grade classes. A course description book is now available in the counselors' Google Classroom.
All 6th and 7th grade students will request their classes for next year later in February.
Behaviors for December
Unfortunately, the behaviors that we did not want to see have increased in November. The majority of the issues happen in the classroom and are due to disrespect, insubordination, and disruption. We averaged over 5 majors or minors per day and our goal is to have less than 1.5 average per day.
As we return from this break, we will once again revisit the expectations with students and work to reach our goal. We appreciate your support when we contact you and look forward to a continued positive partnership.
Sports Schedule
I wanted to touch base with you in regards to sporting event attendance. Students in the middle school must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to all games and have their ID or can show their information in StudentVue to get into the games for free. Students can not be dropped off and left without parent/guardian supervision. This is for all Clio sporting events. Also, when students attend the games they will need to be seated on the bleachers. This is for safety reasons and we are also at the game to cheer on our Mustangs.
