The Kindergarten classes celebrated reaching their RAMS behavior goals. Mrs. Davisson's Kindergarten class enjoyed lunch in the classroom and Mrs. Poss' class earned a balloon glow dance pance party!

Akron FBLA had an amazing State Leadership Conference. We ate some yummy food, competed, attended leadership workshops, had some pool time,and enjoyed TopGolf. Congrats to all attendees you represented Akron well!

This week the Akron FFA was represented well at NJC as they participated in CDE's.

Farm Business Management quite literally took care of business, securing 1st place at Districts.The 9th grade Land Evaluation team got to play in the dirt and secured 8th place, Livestock Evaluation placed 24th of 37 teams and Ag Mechanics placed 17th.

On Thursday night the FFA chapter hosted its annual Hired Hand sale. The sale did not disappoint! Thanks to the community for all the support!!

On Tuesday night, the Akron School Board was treated to presentations from school student groups and administration during its work session. Mrs. Reid and her 4th, 5th, and 6th grade gifted and talented students spoke about some of their events and activities this school year. Mr. Schoenecker and a couple of his high school students presented work they have done in exploring what it would take to get an E-sports program going in the school. The board also heard from Mrs. Shae Smith who was recently selected to serve as elementary principal next school year. The work session ended with reports from school administrators Mrs. Kendra Anderson, Mr. Shawn Randel, and Mr. Brian Christensen.

In Wray, Kendall placed 2nd with a score of 80. The Rams finish 5th overall at the tournament.

Then the girls got the opportunity to play at Raindance National in Windsor. All golfers played well on a very tuff course.

The Akron Rams traveled to Ovid to take on the Sedgwick County Cougars. The varsity team picked up two wins, 11-1 and 9-1. This improves their record to 7-2. The JV team was able to play 3 innings following the varsity contests. The JV team was also victorious, winning 10-0.
