O.E.S. Owls Nest News
News & Upcoming Events
Good Morning OES families!
Students continue to contribute to filling our owls nest. We will be having a "Yippee" celebration this week, and possibly a "Yahoo" one as well!
As students are acknowledged for contributing to:
O - Our Caring Community
W - with Kindness
L - Life Long Learners
S - Safe and Responsible
Students receive pom-poms within their classrooms. Teachers provide a celebration when the classroom container is filled. All class containers are then emptied (by the students) into the O.E.S. OWL's NEST by the main office. "Yippee" is the point when the nest is 1/3 full. "Yahoo" is the point when the nest is 2/3 full. A student pointed out to me earlier this past week that we were at "Yippee" and wondered what we were doing to celebrate. When the NEST is full, there will be a larger celebration. The last time the students filled out NEST, we visited the corn maze.
Report Cards will be going home later this week. The district is currently making changes to the report cards. So, for the first trimester you will be receiving a narrative report card. Please sign and return the envelop to acknowledge receipt of the report card. If you have additional questions regarding the report card, please contact your child(s) teacher.
We are continuing to see students arriving to school in T-shirts. All students participate in a recess time during the school day. Please help them to remember to dress appropriately for the weather.
As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
