Ideas for Busy Families:
In the Kitchen
In this unit, your child is learning about the importance of working together as friends.
Invite your child to join you in the kitchen to help you make a simple snack or help you with an easy chore. As you work together, talk about the importance of teamwork.
You may wish to use a cooking or baking experience to teach your child the importance of following directions.
On the Move
In this unit, your child is learning about clothing words.
Talk with your child about the clothing he or she is wearing. Encourage your child to use words such as hat, sweater, shirt, pants, and shoes. This will help your child to build his or her vocabulary of clothing words.
As you move about your neighborhood and town, point out clothing in the environment, such as in store windows and advertisements. Use clothing words to describe these items.

We are working on being a good friend and what that means. Asking for toys, sharing toys, and using our words to ask for things.
We are learning finger play songs and singing our ABC's. Please help your child learn the first letter of their name and the sound that it makes. We are writing our names everyday (PM class). AM Class is learning their colors and shapes. We are making a color book.
Please send warm jackets with your child. It is chilly in the mornings.
Thanks,
Deb & Kelsey
