Principal Principles
Nine Weeks Exam and Fall Break
This week, all secondary classes (grades 6-12) in Demopolis City schools will transition to nine weeks exams. These exams will be comprehensive to the objectives learned in this nine weeks only and will count as 10% of the student's nine-week average. At DHS, the exams will be given during our block days, Wednesday and Thursday. It is crucial for students to be in attendance for these exams. Students have been preparing this for the entire nine weeks.
Beginning on Friday, Oct. 6th, students will have fall break. The break will last through Oct. 10th for students. On Oct. 10th, teachers will return to campus. This day is an important day as it will be day of learning for our faculty and staff. The more we know and understand, the better equipped we are to assist your child in receiving the best education possible.
Thank you for your understanding as we analyze what your student has learned and plan to improve the educational process.
