February doldrums
For whatever reason, February can be a really tough month for students, staff, and families. The weather isn't the best, we've established a routine that might be kind of monotonous, and Spring just seems too far away. With that said, why not try something a little different this weekend as a family. Try out a new restaurant and leave your phones in the car. Rent a movie that no one has seen yet and sit together in a room to watch together. Go for a walk, weather permitting, around the neighborhood and share your highs and lows from the week. Just change it up a bit and see what a great impact it will have on your February doldrums.
Love the cross country skiing opportunities for our students!
Project Lead The Way
We are very fortunate to have Project Lead The Way for our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. Project Lead The Way is the curriculum for our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program. It's a very hands on approach, with computers and manipulatives, that allows students to really understand the process of discovery and exploration within our Science classrooms. Please contact me if you'd like to see this in action. We love extra adults to help us out, and you'll be able to learn right along with us, too.

Finstagram- Every family should be aware of this.
In this age of social media, there's always something new on the horizon. My wife and I check into our daughter's phone once in a while, and maybe not enough. There is something new that doesn't come with the 13-year-old age limit, Finstagram. If you'd like to learn more, please check out this article. If you'd like to discuss appropriate social media use, don't hesitate to contact me.
