The Tuesday Notice
October 31, 2023
Dear Siskiyou School Parents,
It’s been a full and exciting time on campus this past week.
Grandparents’ Day was wonderful and it seemed that everyone enjoyed their time. The children were so excited to host their grandparents in the classrooms; the assembly with class presentations was excellent and portrayed well what the children do here at school with their teachers regarding verses, poems, songs, skits, and more. Hearing the students sing moves everyone’s hearts! At the end of the morning I asked grandparents to share of their experience. It was a gift to hear their observations and appreciations for this school and for what the kids learn and get to do here during the school year. A big thank you to the board members and to all the parent volunteers who helped us in all the big and small ways! All around a great event!
Today was Halloween and we celebrated on campus! We love all of our events, but this one is definitely a favorite. Please take a moment to watch the video above created by Kristin; so nice to see everyone is costume and to share the spirit and fun with each other.
Lastly, our Annual Giving Campaign is up and running and our goal is to finish it up in February. Thank you to everyone who already sent a donation; every dollar makes a difference and gets us closer to our goal of $115,000!
Have a wonderful week! My best, Aurilia

Notifying the office about illness or absences
Please leave a brief message on the attendance line at 541-482-8223 ext. 14. It can be as simple as “Johnny in first grade is out today with a fever”. The office will forward your message to the class teacher. If a child has a contagious illness, the office may email other parents in the class to give them a heads-up.
Scheduling Appointments
Please try to schedule appointments with doctors and dentists after school or at lunchtimes (12:25- 1:20) so as not to break the rhythm of the day for your child or the class. We certainly understand that this is not always possible.
Winter Faire is coming!
Class 1 - First Grade
Halloween at our school is so much fun! With the help of sixth grade buddies, first graders carved pumpkins yesterday. Today we joined an all school parade into Pine Hall where our pumpkins lit the dark hall, and all grades sang together.
We have finished our number block and will be returning to the study of letters tomorrow.
The class is landing in the most delightful way!
