The focus is on fish and sea turtles this week. The open-ended art supplies will be yarn, wire and pipe cleaners. We will start our cooperative Clown Fish Sticker Mosaic poster - come and be one of the first to help us create something beautiful together!

Octopus, Jellyfish, Clams and Lobsters and Crabs! Old magazines are filled with vibrant colors, bold text, and fun photos. Come test your creativity with scissors and glue and a pile of magazines this week.

These three big and beautiful and scary creatures of the ocean are this week's focus. Tissue paper is our art medium this week - so many fun things to do with our newly acquired tissue paper squares and circles!

This week we'll dive into the wonders of the coral reefs, the adventure of sailing, and the fun of surfing! Construction paper will be the art material for the week.

A little shorter week, with Monday off for the 4th of July, come see the collection of seashells and try your hand at making a collage.

Our final week! Pirates and buried treasure, islands and volcanoes, earthquakes and tsunamis. Can you design earthquake-proof Lego buildings? Cardboard sculptures will be our last art exploration.

We will read several picture books and do a quick finger play each morning from 10:30-10:45 AM, before introducing the art materials and open-ended activities set out throughout the library.

Thanks to generous grants through the Nebraska Library Commission and the Bank of Scotia, we have an incredible number of Legos, wooden blocks, straw constructors, magnetic tiles, and wooden dominos sets, duplo blocks, and much more available for play in the library!

Card games, board games, logic and puzzle games - there are games for every age level and all available for checkout. There are also puzzles, a K'nex rollercoaster, Snap Circuit remote control car, magnetic poetry, a spirograph set, and more available for checkout!
