Dean of Students Message
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
This has been a fantastic school year! As I look back through our Twitter and Facebook feeds, there is much to celebrate and many memorable experiences we shared. I feel very fortunate to spend each day with your children helping them learn and grow into leaders. We cannot wait to see what the 2022-2023 school year will bring! I hope you have a wonderful Summer Break!
Here are some important logistical details for the summer:
- It is not too late to enroll for Kindergarten for the 2022-2023 school year! Online registration can be completed here. Most registrations will be processed in August, but you can save your child's spot at Eagle Crest now.
- If your family is moving over the summer or will be making changes to any of your contact information, please let us know! Throughout the summer we will be preparing for the new school year and sending important updates via this newsletter. Please email any changes to our Registrar, Dinah Sherwood at: sherwood_dinah@svvsd.org.
- Eagle Crest will be hosting a Project Launch summer learning program in the month of June. The program will be Monday through Thursday, 8:45am-3:45pm. The front office will be staffed 8:00am - 4:00pm each of those days, as well. Eagle Crest will be closed throughout the month of July until Monday, August 1st.
All the best,
Lindsey Cheney

PTO Update
A HUGE thank you to everyone who supported and brought new life to our PTO this school year! Whether you purchased a conference meal, voted, volunteered at an event or helped us fulfill a need through a monetary donation your involvement was appreciated and helped us grow.
Because of our successful fundraising efforts, we could send students on field trips, bring educational programs such as HawkQuest, the Colorado Shakespeare Festival Violence Prevention Program and Square State Skate, support our Mwebaza and Robotics clubs and fund a para to help students meet reading goals. We started a new tradition with our Welcome Back to School picnic and hope to bring more community-building events next year.
Please take a moment to complete our short end of the year survey. We tried a lot of new things this year and would appreciate your feedback. To vote on school funding requests and receive volunteer opportunities, subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on Facebook.
Enjoy your summer break,
Jenn Pensy, PTO president

WHAT’S HAPPENING AT MWEBAZA ANNEX SCHOOL IN UGANDA!
EXCITING NEWS THIS WEEK: The Bore Hole Well is being drilled!!
Eagle Crest Elementary’s long term fundraising goal has been to support a well to be drilled on the school grounds! Access to clean water is a priority and a basic need. We are so happy the well has finally been funded. Eagle Crest Elementary and Brodsky Research together raised 15,000! Here are a few pictures of the drilling on Monday!
Mrs. Hansen is traveling back to Uganda on June 11th and is so excited to see the well in person. Pictures will be coming your way!!
This summer we have a fun fundraising event happening called Miles for Mwebaza. You can join as a team or as an individual. It’s for kids, families, or anyone interested. Once each person raises 50.00 we will be sending you a cool looking hat. Pictures are on the link below. Make a team with your family and/or friends and have fun exercising together. You probably already hike, bike, walk or run! So this is an easy way to have some fun!. All funds raised will go toward current projects at our partner schools in Uganda. Any questions or issues please contact Mrs. Hansen at Hillari@Mwebaza.org
