January 2024
From the Office
Wow! What a snowy and icy start to the new year. All of the snow caused an e-learning day and a few snow days. The e-learning day didn't go as we all had hoped due to some technology issues. The good news is that the district has revised and made some changes to the e-learning plan that will make future e-learning days much easier for all involved. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this wild weather month!
Building Focus
Each morning we start our day with a review of our building Family Agreements and expectations. Our number one expectation is to BE SAFE. We use KYHFOOTY as a way to teach and remind student on how to be safe. As the picture shows, KYHFOOTY stands for Keep Your Hands Feet and Other Objects to Yourself. Our building data shows this is an area that all grade levels need to develop skills in. As a building we work on this daily and could use your help in reminding students to BE SAFE and follow KYHFOOTY. We teach all students to use their voice and not their hands to express themselves or find a safekeeper (adult) to help problem solve through a conflict.
