North Metro Flex Academy
Principal Update, October 18, 2021 by Mrs Kranz
Scholastic Book Fair is this week!
As you'll see at Fairs this fall, books also bring us together with our favorite characters. That's why our theme will be a celebration with our characters, and our school, as the life of the party!
Update from our Art & Music Teacher
Greetings NMFA Families!
My name is Ms. Anderson and I am the Fine Arts teacher at North Metro Flex Academy. This year we will be learning about art and music in a hands on, approachable, and fun way that engages your students and seeks to expand their creativity.
All classes will alternate between a Music Week, where I see them three times, and an Art Week, where I will also see them three times. This gives us plenty of time to explore the different aspects of the arts, create, and perform!
Art class this year will be filled with projects involving painting, weaving, watercolor, clay and so much more. We will also be learning about famous artists and about art from around the world. Music class will be filled with singing, learning the different aspects of music, and playing instruments. We will also be learning about musical genres, the history of music, and about music from other regions.
We are so happy to be back in person, but because of the uncertainty in regards to the pandemic, we have decided this year to do a virtual winter concert. Right now we are hoping to have a spring concert in person (possibly outside). More information will be sent out as we get closer to these dates.
If you have any questions or concerns about the Fine Arts program, please feel free to contact me any time!
