SPOTS: DAA Middle School

It has been a wonderful week of student-led conferences! It is our hope, that through these conversations, your child is able to reflect upon their progress thus far and make goals to finish the school year on a strong note. See pictures below of students from Mr. Sanchez's Spanish classes preparing for their conversations.

Spring is the season that we begin thinking about the next academic school year. Grade 8 students are already in the middle of course selection! Course selection for current grade 5, 6, and 7 students will be underway in the weeks following spring break. We will be meeting with each group of students and parents to help give guidance on what to expect. Please see the section "What's Coming Up?" to find out more.

Our 3rd round of After School Activities (ASAs) will be underway after we return from spring break. You should have received an invitation to the ES & MS Activities Fair on Thursday, March 23 after school. Registration for ASAs will be opened after the fair via the ESM website, so please make sure your child(ren)'s profile is updated so you can register for activities straight away!

With the beginning of Ramadan approaching next week, it is a good reminder for our school community, regardless of culture, to be reflective and find ways to make a positive impact on those around us. We can reinforce with our children that gestures of kindness and compassion do not need to be grand; even the smallest kindnesses can have a big impact on someone's day.
