President's Message
Happy....Spring? Well, not quite but that sure is how it has felt! I hope this message finds you well and off to a lovely 2017.
Some of you have asked...did I miss the membership renewal? Nope! As we mentioned in the fall, we wanted to pass on to you all a year without membership dues. We are so thankful for the wonderful group of Beardie fanciers that make up NCBCC and help us maintain a number of events and activities each year. So, thank you! We do have a number of events planned for the year so if you're feeling inclined, we would welcome any donations to help with the success of these events. If you're interested in sponsoring trophies or the general fund for our Specialty in April, Herding Trial in June, or Agility Trial in October, please contact Casey (Specialty), David (Herding), or Linda (Agility) and copy Merilynn atncbcctreasurer@gmail.com.
Your new Board Members gathered to get us off to a fun start with lots of our traditional activities as well as some new. We have a tentative calendar for the year attached to this newsletter with a very exciting, first ever event coming in March!! We are thrilled to have Robin Lord offering to host a Barn Hunt day at her home. Thank you, Robin!
Most of our events for the rest of the year have dates lined up, but a few are still in the works. If you're interested in helping to organize any of the events (especially Herding and Agility!) please reach out to David Fruehwald (Herding) and Linda Porter (Agility). Volunteers help make our events a success!
If you have any ideas for events, please don't hesitate to pass them along to your board. While our 2017 calendar is mostly complete, we can always use ideas for future events!
See you at Robin's!
