Reporting Student Absences
Please use the QR code provided to report your child's absence for the current day. You may also report your child's absence via the Griffin's district website at https://www.katyisd.org/MGE or call 281.237.8700 to report the absence. Absences must be reported on a daily basis. Doctor notes for absences and/or partial day healthcare appointments may be submitted upon your child's return. If an absence does not meet the criteria for an excused absence or one of the extenuating circumstances specified in Board policy, the absence will be considered unexcused for attendance account purposes.

If you previously purchased a package, and would like your photo retaken, ALL purchased items must be returned to the photographer the day of pictures. We can then exchange the old photos and place a new order for your child’s retake photo at no additional cost.
Everyone who didn’t purchase should have received a 2nd chance flyer with your child’s proof on it. If you haven’t, please email the below information to houston@provinestudios.com. We can then send you a link to view & order your photos.

DATE CHANGE! Due to a fifth grade choir conflict, the Harry Potter Book Club Donut Discussion date has changed to Tuesday, January 16th!

We aren’t advertising to the younger students, but they are also allowed to join if they have read the book or had it read to them. (Watching the movie, only, can’t substitute for the book!)

Withdrawl Information from the Registrar's Office
Please give the Registrar’s Office as much advanced notice if you plan to withdraw your child. Notify the Registrar as soon as you know your student is leaving Griffin Elementary. A Parent/Guardian must complete the KISD Leaver Form. Please email the completed form along with a copy of the Parent/Guardian’s Driver’s License to the Registrar. Two days lead time is requested to complete processing a withdrawal. All Library Books, Textbooks and School property must be returned to complete the withdrawal. Thank you!
Lunch Visitor Sign Up
In order to provide a safe environment for our students and staff, we will limit visitors to 5 per grade level per day and only one visit per month. Each visitor must sign up for a slot. Groups of 2, 3 or more will not be admitted under one slot. Additional visitors be required to remain in the foyer. Limiting visitation to once a month will allow more parents a chance to have lunch with their child(ren). Thank you for your support.

SLHS Holiday Extravaganza!
Holiday Extravaganza!
The Seven Lakes HS Fine Arts Department is delighted to present our annual “Holiday Extravaganza” on Thursday, December 7th on the campus of Seven Lakes High School. This holiday event features performances from all of our Fine Arts, accompanied by dinner and a silent auction: it’s a night not to be missed!
Our Freshman Center doors open at 5:30p and dinner, catered locally by UR Way Catering by Eric, will be served in the Freshman Cafeteria. You’ll be welcomed by our orchestra ensembles performing chamber music, delightful dances from our Sapphires and JV Spartanaires, spirited serenades from the Sensations, and a humorous performance from Studio VII Theatre Co. The concert, which starts at 7:00p will showcase performances from our Chorale and Symphony Orchestra, and the highlight of the evening is our Not-So-Silent Auction where the auction winner could bid to win an opportunity to conduct the Symphony Orchestra.
Proceeds from the Dinner Tickets, Silent Auction, and Concert directly benefit our Spring Musical and Masterworks Series. Ring in the holiday season by attending this event and support the award-winning Fine Arts Department! Ticketing goes live on November 13th, so visit Studio VII Theatre Co. to purchase your night of incredible entertainment!
Cinco Ranch High School Theatre
CRTC Winter show is Chemical Imbalance: A Jekyll and Hyde Story. The show will be performed in the blackbox. December 7, 8, and 9 and 7pm. Tickets will be available online at https://crtc.booktix.net and if not sold out at the door.
SLHS Cheer Clinic
Attention all students! Come cheer with the 2 time UIL 6A State Champion and NCA National Champion cheerleaders! Join us as we host our annual cheer clinic on Saturday December 9th from 1-5 pm in the main gym of Seven Lakes High School. The cost includes t-shirt, snack, and top notch cheer instruction from the 6A State and NCA National Champion cheerleaders. All students are invited from K – 8. There will also be a parent showcase that starts at 4:45 pm in the main gym. Please see attached flyer and QR code to register.
