A note from Ms. Walsh
Happy Friday Mountain View! I hope everyone enjoyed their short week. World Mental Health Day, created by the World Health Organization, was on October 10. World Mental Health day is a day that is meant to empower individuals and organizations to support people in need and to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness. This years’ theme was “Make mental health and wellbeing for all a global priority." As a society, we often forget that Mental Health is as important as physical health; our mental health can actually impact our physical health. Here are some ways we can encourage the mental health and wellbeing of ourselves and others and keep lines of communication about mental health open and honest:
Check in with yourself. Ensure that you have allowed yourself to feel all of your recent emotions. Give yourself time to process any emotions you have yet to acknowledge recently.
Check in with your family. Ask your family members to express how they have been feeling lately, and offer them support if they are struggling.
Check in with someone you know is struggling- remind them that you are there for them.
Engage in self-care habits.
Become familiar with or donate to Mental Health initiatives (i.e. National Alliance on Mental Illness).

Our simple, and festive, Charleston Wrap fundraiser is in full swing! All merchandise will arrive before the holidays! Follow the steps below to get registered! The process is QUICK and EASY!
Trunk or Treat
It's all about the trunks! Spooky, funny, or most original? Choose your angle and get in the competition. Looking for some inspiration? Visit our Pinterest board for Trunk or Treat. You'll be amazed by the creativity. That doesn't mean your trunk has to be elaborate; some of the best ideas involve just a few simple decorations. You can choose to partner up with another family and create your design together. Show your ingenuity and help us create a magical day for the kids.
Don't Forget the Middle Schoolers! We want middle school students to enjoy the Trunk or Treat event too! Sign your middle schooler up for the Cornhole Tournament. They can sign up with a partner or we can match up anyone who needs a partner. We'll have a photo station set up so wear your costumes and get some great pics. The afternoon will wrap up with a Halloween parade and a costume contest! You don't have to decorate your trunk to participate, all are welcome to attend this FREE event but you must RSVP! Register Here!
Reminder: Enrichments Begin Next Week!
