We’re reviving National Math Club / MATHCOUNTS at our school. Open to students in grades 6th through 8th, students will be able to learn and practice math concepts in a fun setting.
National Math Club (https://www.mathcounts.org/programs/math-club) is a program that gives middle-school students the opportunity to engage with math in a non-competitive, social environment. Interested students will also have the option to participate in the MATHCOUNTS competition series providing students the opportunity to compete in live contests against and alongside their peers.
We’ll be meeting on Monday mornings from 7:20 to 8:10 in the middle school math classroom. The first meeting will be on Monday, October 9th . All students in grades 6th through 8th are welcome. Fifth graders will be invited to join in the spring, after the competition series ends.
