Jog-a-Thon Fundraiser Success
Laps
We far exceeded our school-wide lap goal (2000 laps) with an impressive 3655 laps and we earned a school-wide pajama day
5th grade completed the most laps & earned an extra recess.
Fundraising
27% of our students participated in our fundraising efforts helping us to raise ~$14,000. While we were shy of our $25,000 goal, we are still counting that level of participation a success.
Maestra Sixtos-Gutierrez's class had the highest percentage of fundraising participation, so each member of that class received a red Bridgeport Bulldogs drink tumbler (delivered to her class on Friday, 10/27).
Prizes
All students who participated in the fundraising and/or jog-a-thon (no matter how much they raised) were entered into a drawing to win prizes such as gift cards, games, drink cups, pencil pouches, and spirit wear. Prizes were delivered to classrooms on Friday, 10/27.
Shirts
- Now that everyone has received their community t-shirt, we are happy to announce the return of Spirit Fridays! Feel free to wear any piece of Bridgeport spirit wear (or our colors: blue, white and red) on Fridays. Our next online spirit wear sale will be held January 15-26, 2024.

Ned's Mindset Mission Assembly & Yo-Yo Fundraiser
The NED's Mindset Mission assembly will be held on Thursday, November 30.
In conjunction with the assembly, students will learn basic and advanced yo-yo tricks in PLUSS with Mrs. Alarcon in November and December. This fundraiser also gives students the chance to purchase yo-yo's for at-home use.
Our assembly was paid for by the sale of the school who went before us. Our sale will also be a pay-it-forward fundraiser to cover the cost of the next school's assembly.
Students can submit order forms December 1-8.
