4/3-4/10: Spring Break - No School

5/11: Minimum Day (Dismissal 12:45 for Kindergarten, 12:55 for 1st-6th Grades)

5/11: Open House Night

5/15: Minimum Day (Dismissal 12:45 for Kindergarten, 12:55 for 1st-6th Grades)

5/29: Memorial Day - No School

6/1: Last Day of School/Minimum Day (Dismissal 12:45 for Kindergarten, 12:55 for 1st-6th Grades)

A unique and important part of our IB program is a set of school-wide policies that serve as the foundation for all that we do at Sierra. These IB policies help to set us apart from a typical elementary school program. In the upcoming Shark News editions we will share some of these policies. They are also linked on our school website. This week's policy is the Sierra Academic Integrity Policy. The Academic Integrity Policy is designed to inform and guide the Sierra school community on the expectations and responsibilities for ensuring academic integrity. If you have any questions about any of our IB policies or Sierra's IB program, please contact our IB coordinator, Lisa Johnson, at ljohnson@rocklinusd.org.

The U.S. Navy Concert Band holding a concert in the Whitney High School Performing Arts Center at 3p.m. on Sunday, March 19, 2023. The Band is the premier musical organization of the U.S. Navy, performing frequently at ceremonies held at The White House and The Pentagon and also tours annually throughout the nation. While the concert is free, tickets are required for entry. General admission tickets may be requested at the Rocklin Unified School District front desk during business hours. The public is encouraged to call ahead prior to picking up their tickets. [FLYER]

To ensure compliance with RUSD and the state of California's volunteer policies, parents who wish to volunteer on campus during the school day must have:

RUSD Policy:

• Fingerprinting completed for RUSD specifically. Prior fingerprinting done for any agency or organization other than RUSD will not be accepted. Fingerprinting takes approximately 72 hours to clear.
• Current Tuberculosis Test (TB). TB tests expire every 4 years and must be renewed in order to volunteer. TB Tests take approximately 48-72 hours for results and results must be brought to the office.
