A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
It was wonderful to see your children arriving back to school on Monday morning after our unexpected days off. It was an extremely stressful and sad time for all in our State. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those who have been affected by this senseless act of violence. Mrs. McCartney was here on Monday to help students and staff process what had occurred. If you or your child need additional support during this time, please reach out to any of us. Here is an additional resource, Sandy Hook Promise, should you need it.
We were relieved to be able to return to our routines and happily welcomed our PTA volunteers on Tuesday, to help us celebrate Halloween. As always, the smoothies were delicious and came with the added bonus of a reusable Halloween straw. Fortunately, we had LSW the day after Halloween so students didn't return to school too exhausted. All reports from the children were that Trick or Treating resulted in a bountiful haul of candy!
Finally, Ms. McCauley and I are looking forward to seeing you all at TONIGHT'S GLOW RUN at 5:30 on the track adjacent to the playground!
THANKSGIVING FEAST AT PES
Your child is invited to bring a special guest to join us for lunch on Wednesday, November 15th. Students are invited to join their younger PES sibling and are welcome to share their special guest. Meals need to be pre-ordered no later than November 6th. Order form and details are HERE. Pre-K will join us for lunch at 11:30.
