R-PTLE Weekly Family Communication
Week of November 27th, 2023 (#14)
December begins this week!
Dear Families,
I hope you all had the opportunity to share time with loved ones during Thanksgiving weekend. While I was spending time with family and enjoying seeing those who I do not get the opportunity to see very often, my thoughts were also on those who I get to spend a lot of time seeing and engaging with. I am grateful that I get to be part of this learning community. I so appreciate the students, our staff, and the parents of Twin Lake! Thank you, all, for making this school an amazing place to work, learn, and play.
Certainly hard to believe that Friday is December 1st, but here we are. Our late Fall snowy Sunday is evidence that Winter weather is here. Please tell your student(s) to be safe at our bus stops. Please remind your student(s) to always be aware of traffic and to wait for the bus safely off the road.
We have four weeks of important teaching and learning ahead of us before we recess for Winter break. Let's dig in so we can set up an amazing second half of the school year. The material below is the same as it was when I sent the newsletter out on Tuesday. I would like to highlight our evening of music at the Rocket Centre on December 11th at 6 PM. Students have been working hard with Mrs. Clifton to practice their music and moves. I can't wait to see this amazing show and I hope to see you there!
Big News: 1/2 Day of school on Friday December 1st!
Sincerely,
Paul Siembida

This Month's Theme is Teamwork! We are Better Together!
What does it mean to have Teamwork?
Teamwork is the ability to work in unity with others towards a common goal. For us to learn how to become team players, it is important that we learn to listen, encourage our peers, and allow and invite others to contribute their talents and skills.
We are better together! When we engage in true teamwork and lean on each other for shared knowledge and experiences, we learn more and can achieve more! team spirit at R-PTLE. I have felt it from day one. Let's focus on being a great teammate this month!
