From the Principal - Mrs Vajdevski
Dear Parent and Carers,
Welcome Back to 2023! I would like to start by wishing you all a Happy New Year and welcoming back our families to Liverpool Public School. For those families who are new to Liverpool Public School, I extend my warm wishes and welcome you to our school community.
Following is some important information for all parents and carers:
2023 Classes
Students have been placed in their tentative classes and classrooms today. While we are not anticipating much change, there is a possibility that some changes may happen on account of fluctuating numbers. We are following up on students who have failed to present to school or have not returned from holidays. As you may understand, this is a long process and at times following up families who have moved can prove to be very difficult. We hope to have classes finalised by the end of this week. Our aim is to minimise student movement once classes are established, however, under some circumstances this cannot be avoided. If classes do require a change we will inform parents/carers in writing. If your child is moved after permanent classes are established, you will be consulted prior to the change.
Attendance
All school age children are legally required to attend school each day. Attendance is not an option. It is also expected that children will come to school on time. School starts at 8:55am and finishes at 3pm daily. We will be strictly monitoring attendance and punctuality. As parents and carers, it is your responsibility to ensure that your child attends school on time. Further information is available on our school website.
School Uniforms
At Liverpool Public School we expect all students to be in full school uniform, including the correct black school shoes and white sport shoes. Please make sure to be purchasing the correct items for the 2023 school year. These are a requirement for each day, excursions, assemblies and representing the school at events. Please be aware that black tights and black trackpants are not school uniform. MUE our local uniform supplier also accepts the Back to School vouchers.
Communication
We always ensure to keep our community informed of all events and happenings at our school. Liverpool PS has a Facebook page, school website, uses the Skoolbag app and a monthly newsletter called ‘The Liverpool Letter’. We do send notes home with students, as well as sending them through Skoolbag.
Please regularly visit these sites for any updates.
