Principal Update

Happy Friday!

This week, I would like to take a moment to celebrate some people in our school community! This past week was all about recognizing our Board of Education members for their commitment and dedication to our students and district. These members spend countless hours as volunteers to make sure we are providing the best school experience for our kids. If you have not done so already, please join me in thanking these nine members for their service!

I would also like to thank our PTA president, Kristin Daly for all of the work she has done in creating a seamless transition into the school year. She has been a fearless leader for our PTA board; her passion to create experiences for our students that are fun and create connections is contagious. Thank you, Kristin for all you have done and will continue to do for LP!

It certainly takes a village as they say and I continue to be grateful to each and every one of you for being part of our LP family.

Join the EI Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee
Meetings for the 2022-23 school year will take place in the Laurelton-Pardee Cafeteria from 4:30-6pm. Our October 26 meeting will feature the process and findings of the recent K-12 music curriculum audit.

Help support the Eastridge Boys Basketball program this year by purchasing some Eastridge Slides! A portion of each sale will help support the Boys’ basketball program. There are youth and adult sizes available. The sale will end on November 1 and slides will be delivered within 30 days. Once the slides are arrive, we will have a curbside pick-up at the high school. All orders can be made online using the QR code or the web address below.

This week in the library, students have been on scavenger hunts to find different types of books - they've enjoyed exploring new and different books than they normally gravitate towards. Our Book Character Pumpkin Contest continues this week and students should be bringing home information packets. Students and their families are invited to decorate a small pumpkin like their favorite book character. Pumpkins can be dropped off in the library to display and be entered into the contest. Please no carved pumpkins! All pumpkins are due by November 1st and need to be picked up by November 4th.

How do I create a Parent Portal Account?

Parent Portal Instructions:

In order to create a parent portal account, you will need to have an email address on file with the district before you begin. If you do not already have an email address on file with the district you will need to call the main office of your student's school from a phone number associated with you and your student in order for them to update your information. If you have neither an email address nor phone number on file with the district, you will need to visit your student's main office in person.

1. Visit www.eastiron.org, click on the Infinite Campus link, select Campus Parent and click the "Click here to request a parent portal activation key" link on the Campus Parent homepage. You may also choose to go directly to the URL below.
   https://ic.eastiron.monroe.edu/campus/portal/custom/requestActivation.jsp
2. Enter the email address that you provided to the district in the box and click the "Submit" button.
3. You will receive an email with your activation key.
4. Click the "New User" link on the Campus Parent homepage (refer to step 1 if necessary).
5. Enter your activation key in the box and click the "Submit" button.
6. Enter your desired username, password, confirm your password and click the "Submit" button.
