Weekly Update: Recovery Week

Good afternoon, North students and families,

This is the final week to complete missing assignments and fix any Ns in standards. Please watch for emails from your team of teachers and school administration that will have specific details for Zoom and instructions for recovery week.

Students and families,

This will undoubtedly be a year to remember for all of us. On behalf of the school staff, we thank you for your patience, understanding, and engagement with your learner and their schoolwork during this time of distance learning. While we don't know what the future is going to hold, we can say with absolute certainty that we are better together. We cannot wait for the moment when we get to open our doors and welcome you back. Enjoy your summer break. You have most definitely earned it.

Dear 8th Graders,

I know this isn't the way this was supposed to end. We were supposed to be able to see you in the halls, give you high-fives, and celebrate the three years that we were able to spend together. Although circumstances have prevented this, please know that everyone at North Middle School is proud of the young men and women you have become. We know that the future holds incredible things for each of you and can't wait to see where your road takes you. The staff at the high school has compiled an FAQ for you, answering the questions you asked on the survey from a couple weeks ago. Good luck in high school and swing by to say hello every once in a while!

iPad, book, and instrument return will take place on May 19th, 20th, and 21st.

Prior to your grade's day for material return, please complete the linked Google Form. In addition, please have your learner remove their passcode from their iPad.

If you have not yet picked up your learner's locker contents, let us know when you arrive so we can get it for you.

We will be stationed in front of the main entrance of the building. Just drive up, and a staff member will come to your car.

8th Grade - Tuesday, May 19th: 10:00-1:00 & 4:30-6:30

7th Grade - Wednesday, May 20th: 10:00-1:00 & 4:30-6:30

6th Grade - Thursday, May 21st: 10:00-1:00 & 4:30-6:30

The teachers will be there to say goodbye your learner from 11:00-12:30 on each of those days, so please bring them with!

Band Students: You received an email from your Band teacher with instructions for returning school-owned instruments. Please contact Ms. Rohlck or Ms. Padilla with questions.

Currently Lifetouch, the company that prints our yearbooks, is on pause. They will finishing printing and ship out this year's yearbooks, but I am not sure what date they will be shipped. I expect them to arrive toward the end of summer, and I plan on having them available to hand out at open house next year. Those that are going to the high school, don't worry. I will track you down and make sure that you will get it. For those of you that might move out of district and ordered a yearbook I will get it to you as well. I do order extra yearbooks so next year at open house if you decide that you would like one from the 19/20 school year you can get one at that time. Thanks so much and enjoy your summer.
