END-OF-YEAR REFLECTIONS
DEAR FAMILIES,
We come to the close of our Faith Formation school year...but not the end of Faith Formation!! We continue to learn how Jesus calls us to love one another and live our Faith through our words and actions. This is a lesson that has no end and no graduation...it is our life-long Journey of Faith!
THANK YOU to our students, parents, and catechists for a wonderful and fruitful Faith Formation year at Holy Trinity. Together we were strengthened as we shared the love of Christ with each other, and especially with our children and youth. I am honored to have journeyed with you through our lessons, conversations, and experiences and I look forward to all that God has planned for our faith community in the next school year!
We THANK GOD for the gifts that he has provided us with this year and will continue to pray for all our parish families as we look forward to continuing – together – to form disciples!
God Bless!

HOLY TRINITY YOUTH CARING FOR OUR COMMUNITY
Two of our Confirmation candidates invited friends and family together on April 9 for a "Baby-Shower" benefitting The Margaret Home as they led a full Rosary (in Spanish!) and collected much-needed items for moms and babies. What a thoughtful and unique way to help those in our community!! Great job to those involved in this youth-led service project...and THANK YOU for your beautiful example of what it means to be the Hands of Christ!!
SHOE DRIVE - St. Charles Borromeo Church
Hey Faith Formation students still in need of service opportunities to fulfill your hours (or anyone who just wants to help!!)...collect some shoes and get them over to St. Charles Borromeo!! Save unwanted shoes from heading to landfills and help with their scholarship fund while earning some service hours!! Check out the attached flyer for more information including dates and locations for drop off.
CONGRATULATIONS SACRAMENT PREPARATION STUDENTS
The Sacrament of First Holy Communion enables our children to become one with God by receiving the Body and Blood – the soul and divinity – of Jesus Christ through the Eucharistic meal. The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Catholic faith.
The Sacrament of Confirmation is a special moment in our children’s Catholic lives where the grace given at Baptism is sealed and perfected by the Holy Spirit who strengthens them as disciples to share in the mission of Jesus Christ.
This year we celebrated with 33 First Holy Communicants and 39 Confirmands! Lets us continue to keep these children and youth, along with their families, in our prayers.
Lord God, You are the source of all wisdom, truth and knowledge. You call us to deepen our relationship with you through the death and resurrection of your Son, and the guidance of your Holy Spirit. Be generous, Lord in sending Your Spirit upon these children, families, and catechists. Give them a hunger for wisdom and a thirst for knowledge for You. For them, and for us all, we pray, open our minds and hearts so that we may deepen our faith in you, our hope for eternal life, and our love for you and our neighbor. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
MAY CROWNING of MARY - Sunday, May 12
Happy Mother's Day on Sunday, May 12...a special day to honor our Blessed Mother Mary
What is a May Crowning? We crown Mary in the month of May as a way to say "Thank you for saying Yes to God!" At all Masses on Mothers' Day weekend, we will have a small Marian shrine on display near the altar with vases surrounding Mary. All are welcome to bring flowers to present to her.
At the 10:30am Mass on Sunday, May 12th, all children and youth are invited to be in the procession for the crowning of our Blessed Mother. Bring some beautiful flowers from your garden to place at Mary’s altar (or we will have them available for children at the entrances). Before Mass begins, our young people will all walk into the church together with Fr. Jorge for a special blessing and the Crowning of Mary with a wreath of flowers placed atop her head.
July 8-11, 2024 (Monday – Thursday) 9:00am – 12:15pm
Children ages 4 through 5th Grade are invited to join us for four fun-filled days of stories, music & motion, indoor and outdoor games and activities, art projects, and snacks to explore the Bible, Church teaching, and the Saints!
Registration is now open for CAMPERS as well as YOUTH and ADULT Volunteers (grades 6 and over). Advance registration is required, space is limited! Click the links below or email the Faith Formation Office at Tricia.Kull@dor.org for more information.
