Ridgeview STEM Junior High

The first few days of school have been awesome. We have a great group of students and it is going to be a fabulous school year.

With each day, the students are getting better at remembering their schedules, finding classes, and operating their lockers. Effective Monday, we want all students to use their lockers. Book bags will not be permitted in the hallways or classrooms except before class and at dismissal. Students will learn to plan accordingly and carry only the materials they need between locker visits.

Mrs. Kissell has been very busy distributing ChromeBooks. At this time, 7th graders should have their chromebook from the middle school. Most 8th graders have them, and we are awaiting more new ones for those still needing one. Students have been reminded that charging takes place at home, not school, and the device should come to school every day charged. ** If you have not yet paid there $35 insurance fee, please do so ASAP. Any damage to the device WILL NOT be covered unless the insurance premium is paid and in effect. Avoid costly repairs by paying for the device insurance soon.

Some students find it a helpful option to use a homework planner / agenda. We have them for sale in the office and school store for $5 while supplies last.

We look forward to working cooperatively with you throughout the school year to ensure that your child has a successful school year. If you have concerns or questions, please don't hesitate to contact your child's teacher or any of the office staff.

Our PTO provides many great services and activities for our students and staff throughout the year. Your help is needed. Please consider joining our PTO by completing the membership form. Membership does not obligate you to volunteering. Your donation is tax deductible. Our next PTO meeting is 9/7/2017 @ 8:30 AM and all are welcome. Start saving Box Tops! We will be collecting them soon.
