BOBCAT NATION
Regarding safety, we cannot afford to let our guard down. One of our primary jobs is to ensure the safety and security of every student here at school… and YES, we need everyone doing their part. We must continue attending to our duty stations, locking classroom doors, being in the hallways during the passing of periods, and we must continue to practice/review emergency drills. We must always be alert and on the lookout for possible signs. As educators, we have a responsibility to report any suspicious activity or behavior. Remember, if you see something, say something.
Parents, we also need your assistance. Please search backpacks, and monitor your child’s devices and their social media. Also look for changes in friends, clothing, grades, behavior, skipping, harming self, and/or loss of appetite. A child may not verbalize his/her thoughts but they will give you signs. Whatever you do, do not ignore the signs, and please report any concerns. If you believe your child needs some type of counseling, do not hesitate to contact our counselors. We are here to help.
