PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
This has been a wild weather week, but in Colorado, we always need to be grateful for precipitation!
As you know, we have decided to make a change in the schedule, and instead of having our Eagle Crest Music Festival and Mwebaza Art Fundraiser on Friday evening, we will now be holding it on the last day of school on May 25th, during our annual family picnic. The picnic and performances will begin at 11:00am.
We understand that this change may require some adjustments to your plans, and we appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we strive to create a more inclusive and enjoyable event for everyone in our school community.
Our students have been working very hard to prepare for the music festival, and we are eager to showcase their amazing talent. We have also collected artwork from each student, and we are thrilled to be able to share it with you. We know that you are always so supportive of our students and staff, and we are grateful for your continued enthusiasm.
Performance times for the rescheduled Music Festival
Kindergarten - 11am to 11:10
First Grade - 11:15 to 11:25
Second Grade - 11:30 to 11:40
Third Grade - 11:45 to 11:55
Fourth Grade - 12pm to 12:10
5th grade will perform their program during their continuation at 10am in the gym.
We hope that you will join us for the special events on the last day of school, and we look forward to seeing you there!
Warmly,
Amanda

DEAN OF STUDENTS' MESSAGE
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
We're incredibly lucky to have such an amazing community here at Eagle Crest, where many of us can walk, ride bikes, and scooters to school. Not only does this keep us active, but it also helps reduce traffic and the environmental impact on our neighborhood.
As we approach the last few weeks of school, we wanted to take a moment to remind everyone about the importance of locking up your bikes and scooters. Unfortunately, we have had instances of things going missing, and it's always better to be safe than sorry. So please remember to secure your belongings during the day to ensure their safety.
We sincerely appreciate your cooperation and efforts in helping us maintain a secure and accountable environment for everyone. Let's work together to keep our bikes and scooters safe and sound!
All the best,
Lindsey Cheney
Dean of Students

NEWS FROM THE LIBRARY
Students have had a lot of fun in the library this year reading and checking out books. Some have even won free books during our Reading Challenge! Summer will be here before we know it and it is now time to get all the books back to the library. Please help your students find their library books and return books to school by Friday, May 12th. If your child is using a book for a project or book report, they can keep it until that is done.
And to kick off Summer Reading, the librarians from the Longmont Public Library will be visiting classes the week of May 15th. Students will learn all about the fun summer programs at the library and ways they can win prizes by reading books. Summer Reading at the Longmont Public Library kicks off May 25th at Sunset Pool!
Thanks for supporting reading at home!

LUNCH MENU & COLOR DAY SCHEDULE
Our Music, PE, and Art classes are on a 3 day rotation. Every school day is either a Red, Gold, or Purple day. These colors are shared on our school lunch menu to help families plan ahead for necessary supplies like sneakers for PE.
ADD MONEY TO YOUR CHILD'S SCHOOL BREAKFAST & LUNCH ACCOUNT
MySchoolBucks is the website you want to access in order to add funds to your child’s account for purchasing breakfast, lunch, or milk at school. This system will send you reminders and can manage the account of multiple students. Money can also be sent to school by check or cash. Please label any checks or cash with the students first name, last name, and teacher.
If you haven’t yet, you can apply for Free & Reduced meals to see if your family qualifies for free meals. Applying for Free & Reduced lunch will help manage fees (like iPad Insurance or sports) and also helps our school receive additional funds and services. We encourage all families to complete the application.
