Learners in 5th & 6th Grade Band have the opportunity to attend individual Zoom lessons, work on and perform music with an app called SmartMusic, and try their hands at sight reading where they perform a piece of music they have only looked at for 2 minutes. The following learners earned their Conductor Badge for showing exemplary work and commitment to band during Week 5:

5th and 6th graders are boosting spirits by making free choice art!
Each week, artists choose to make art using prompts from our weekly choice board or by following their own interests and passions! Choice-based art is perfectly suited to making art from your home studio.
Here are some examples of what artists are working on:
- Drawing and painting
- Making their own sketchbooks
- Sculpting using natural materials, Legos or recycled materials
- Difference Maker Artists are sharing their chalk art, door decorations, paintings and cards with others
- Culinary Artists are creating works of edible art
- Several artists have made color wheels out of objects at home

Brady Petersheim, 5th grade
Brady Petersheim has been CRUSHING his Phys Ed Activity Log! Each week he submits over the recommended two days of physical activity for 30-40 minutes. The activities he completes are full of variety as well. He is definitely going to be quaran-FIT by the end of this! Awesome job Brady!
