This communication was born out of our ongoing effort to build community with each of you, and to provide insight, tips, and content that help you to better serve your students and your organization.

You can now set your due dates to have a specified time. Previously, the default was set to 11:59 pm. Because of the need to reach students in multiple time zones, teachers and schools can now set customized times which will be correlated with the distribute due dates functionality.

This month we are excited to spotlight our K-5 addition to StrongMinded SEL. Designed with the younger learners in mind, our new K-5 experience provides age-appropriate searching, keeping students within their grade-band. The easy to navigate dashboard and engaging search features ensure that your students can safely and easily explore their social emotional activities.

StrongMinded SEL is designed around research and aligned to the CASEL competencies. StrongMinded leverages student agency and teacher expertise about their K-12 students in a flexible approach, developed to be integrated into regular classroom curriculum. The intuitive tool provides students and teachers a unique opportunity to address a wide range of SEL learning objectives based on personal experiences and needs. Quality Matters is the global organization leading quality assurance in online and innovative digital teaching and learning environments.As part of StrongMind's mission to build a robust catalog offering, ensuring our courses meet Quality Matters standards is a priority.

We are proud to share that all High School and Middle School (general and honors where applicable) English, Math, Social Studies and Science courses are Quality Matters certified. Our K-5 core courses are nearly all certified or are in the process of Quality Matters certification presently. StrongMind is confident that our courses and programs meet these nationally and internationally recognized standards and we continue to prioritize these certifications as we release new courses in the future.

One challenge we see come up is in associating courses from your blueprint course. When you are in your course list to make associated or "shell courses", make sure that you are selecting the most current version of your course, as indicated in the title with the letter V and a number. In order to get all of the minor updates made to a course, you will need to have the most current version. The higher the number, the newer the version.
