Stonybrook Red Storm Forecast

From Principal Smith
Dear Stonybrook parents and caregivers,
The second semester is off to a great start! Despite Covid-19, our teachers are providing rigorous instruction while nurturing caring connections with our students. Last week your student's teacher(s) reviewed our school-wide and classroom expectations and also lead lessons on proper mask wearing, social distancing, and proper hand cleaning to make sure all students and staff stay as safe as possible.
Cleaning
Our custodian team are thoroughly cleaning the building each night and our teachers are wiping down desk, doorknobs, and other surfaces throughout the day.

CORE Expectations
Culturally Responsive Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (CR-PBIS)
Welcome to Culturally Responsive Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (CR-PBIS) at Stonybrook Intermediate & Middle School. We would like to welcome our 5th grade students back to the building, we are so excited to see all your faces! We are also excited to see all of our 6-8th grade students in their learning hubs! This first week back, we will be reteaching our school wide expectations and rewarding positive behavior with CORE Cash. We will also be focusing on the importance of wearing face masks, social distancing, and using hand sanitizer so that we can keep everyone safe and healthy.
The 5th grade CORE store will be open this Friday and the following Monday for students to spend their hard-earned CORE cash. Students earn CORE cash by following expectations and being an exemplary role model for their peers.
