
Shifting to Canvas: A Weekly Update

Sneak Peek of April 19 PD
On April 19, a professional learning experience will introduce the new HCPS Learning Management System, highlighting the plan for migrating content from itslearning and offering registration for future Canvas professional learning sessions. The three-hour, asynchronous experience will be available in Canvas beginning at 7:30 a.m. on April 19, 2022. This session is designed to be self-paced.
All HCPS instructional staff and education support professionals, including building administrators, instructionally-related Central Office administrators, teachers, counselors, social workers, psychologists, and related service providers, must complete the three-hour, asynchronous Canvas professional development session on April 19, 2022, 8:00-11:00 a.m.
As instructional staff work through the required three hour experience, in-person and virtual support will be available.
In-Person Support
Staff who feel they need more support in completing the asynchronous session can visit ANY of the following school libraries where teacher leaders will be available to assist:
- Aberdeen High
- Bel Air High
- C. Milton Wright High
- Edgewood High
- Fallston High
- Havre de Grace High
- North Harford High
- Patterson Mill High
Virtual Support
Virtual support will be available between 8:00-11:00 a.m. via the following Teams link:
