I don't know about you, but the Winter Break sure seemed to come quickly this year. It has been a great year of learning, collaborating, and innovation for our students and staff. I hope that I have shared some of the great things we are doing in these newsletters each and every week.
During Winter Break, I hope that you have fun with family and friends and get a chance to relax and enjoy some time off. I'd also like to ask you a favor. Our students are reading more than ever and we'd like to keep them in this habit. Please find some time to read with your child, maybe a little time each day, to keep their interest in reading at a high level. I have a personal reading goal for Winter Break. I want to read two books that I have been wanting to read- "Drive" by Daniel Pink and "Uncommon" by Tony Dungy. I'll let you know if I was successful after break.
