Week of 4/6 - 4/9
Greetings! Welcome to 4th Quarter Writing. In this class, we will be working on improving our writing skills through various methods of online instruction. In this first week of the quarter, we will all be adjusting to online school, and our goal will be to become familiar with our online platform.
The goal for today is to get logged into the correct Google Classroom which corresponds with this course.

Try logging in to Google Classroom. Once you are in, leave a comment in the class comments which tells your favorite candy bar.
Tuesday 4/7-
Today, we will be testing out using Google Forms while getting to know each other.
1. Log onto your Google Classroom.
2. Click on the "Get To Know You Questions" assignment.
3. Follow the directions on the assignment and complete the Google Form survey.
4. Be sure to submit your Google Form when you are finished. This is due Wednesday 4/8.
Wednesday 4/8-
Today, we will begin our introduction on the three types of writing we will study this quarter.
1. Log onto your Google Classroom.
2. Click on the "Three Types of Writing" assignment.
3. Follow the assignment instructions on Google Classroom.
Thursday 4/9-
Today, we will be finishing our "Three Types of Writing" assignment. Your goal is to have the completed assignment submitted to Google Classroom by Friday.
Week of 4/1 - 4/2
Additionally, we will be using Google Classroom for you to receive instructions on assignments, turn work in, and get feedback. For Writing III your classroom code is: 6dkawfz.
Unfortunately, our nonfiction narrative project that we began in March was interrupted. That being the case, the nonfiction narrative final copy assignment will not be reflected in the grade book. However, if you have your assignment completed and turned in before 4pm this Thursday 4/2, I will give 5 points extra credit to reflect the work you put in.
This week you will be reading a sample narrative and completing a four part summary. The assignment materials and instructions are posted to Google Classroom.
