What a fun week!

We celebrated Red Ribbon Week all week long! We had so much fun dressing up all week and Friday was off the charts with fun!! We want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to our PTO and all the parents that made the Hero Hangout a HUGE success in spite of the weather! If you would like to see photos from the week, click HERE.

Hero of the Month

This is awarded to one student on each team monthly. This student is chosen by the team of teachers for displaying the HERO standards all the time!

Goal Getter

This button is awarded quarterly. It is given to students that set a goal, share the goal with his/her advisor, and then works until he/she achieves that goal. You will see more and more of these go out as the year goes on.

My Hero Award

Any staff member can submit a name for this award. This award is given out weekly during our Fast Friday Assemblies. This is given for random acts of kindness, celebrating good deeds, and being a hero in the eyes of someone!

Most Improved Hero

One student on each team is given this award each nine weeks. Students that show improvement in any area (academic or non-academic) are celebrated! We love when students work hard and get better and want to honor that!

All A's & B's

This is given each nine weeks to students that earn all A's and B's on his/her report card.

Trust Badge

This flair comes with privileges. This is given to students that continually display great character and demonstrate the HERO standards. Students that wear this flair do not need a hall pass and teams also decide on other privileges that go with this award. We will see more and more of these awards go out all year!

Perfect Attendance

This flair is given to any student that does not miss a single period of the nine weeks. That's DEFINITELY worth celebrating!

Character Awards

Each month we focus on a new character word. The word for September was Responsibility. Students that are exceptional at demonstrating responsibility are given this award.

Our PTO is getting it done!!

The Hellstern PTO has raised money this fall. We had our annual "Sponsorship Drive" which raisded over $8000. We also raised over $2000 at the Halloween Hero Hangout, which was run completely by them. Be sure and ask your student about it!

This money goes directly back to Hellstern! Our PTO sponsors our Christmas Closet, they purchase all the lanyard flair that students can earn, and they have just approved the purchase of a GaGa Ball pit, which our students are SO EXCITED about having! These are just a few of the things that our PTO does. Again, thank you parents and PTO for helping make Hellstern such a WONDERFUL place.

The Hellstern PTO store is open, as always, for business. The sweatshirt order in this store will close on Monday!
